Quality Planning (QPC), a unit of Verisk Analytics, is an insurance solutions company specializing in analytics, information and decision support for the private passenger automobile insurance industry. Our clients include many of the nation’s leading property and casualty insurers.

QPC is revolutionizing insurance underwriting through innovative and technology-rich solutions to risk management problems.

We are currently seeking to fill the position of SQL & .Net Programmer. The ideal candidate is organized and detail oriented, and is a tactful and assertive natural self starter and problem solver.

The person in this position will:

1. Working with a team on requirements, architecture, design, coding, analysis, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting of new and ongoing software development projects.

2. Produce clear, readable and maintainable code and documentation

3. Design and write SQL stored procedures, triggers, cursors, and advanced SQL queries

4. Develop reports with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field

2. At least 3 years of related functional experience in .Net and SQL Server

3. Experience with .Net, C#, ASP.net, LINQ, TSQL, SSIS, OOP, SOA and Source Safe/CVS

4. Excellent knowledge of SQL Server 2008

5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

6. Detail oriented and well organized

7. Able to convert requirements from non-technical subject matter experts into scalable, supportable code

8. Ability to work in a team as well as independently in a sometimes challenging environment

9. Familiarity with ASP.NET MVC, TFS and SCRUM a plus.
